Delayed report from last weekend...

Lots of fish being caught out there, The Wall, Kirby, Cree, etc... saw quite a few in the 20's.

While we weren't fishing for hali we picked up 6 springs at the wall, 8-14 lbs. All caught on the 334 Rosco w/ green flasher at 120-130 feet.

Fish seem to be at a wide range of depths, others doing well at 55-65 feet. It seemed that everyone fishing salmon caught something. Good time to get out there and I imagine it will only get better from here.

Back out there friday night... will try to have a more timely report next time. :D

Back out to Barkley this weekend... fish were harder to find than last weekend.

We fished the Whistle Buoy, The Wall, Diplock, and Pill Point and had some action at each but nothing that great. We kept 3 fish, biggest was an 11 lb nut case from this morning. It hit mid way between Pill and Diplock. Took a crazy amount of line off the start and got my knuckles wrapped more than a few times :D thought we had a big one... nope just an incredibly pissed off fish

Lots of bait at The Wall and Pill Point. Saw a huge ball at 250 ft at Pill. My wife said go for it and drop it down there... sure enough we got one.

People we talked to who fished the same areas had similar results.

Had some nice weather and a good weekend.

Went to the South Bank today and fishing was fair at best. Did manage some nice springs, a few Coho, and a couple of Hali's but far from being hot. Salmon were anywhere form the surface to the mud. Got our best Coho, around seven pounds, right off of the bottom. Lots of Sockeye jumping. Somas river bound??

Fished out of Bamfield Monday to Friday . took our limit of springs off the Wall. Nothing over 20 and smallest keeper was 14. Ventured out to 7 mile and in to 5 mile on Wednesday. Hooked into over 30 jacks with Nathan's amazing Roscoe and Money spoons but no keeper springs.
Did manage to bring in one 32 pound hali from 5 mile which was a nice surprise.
Weather cooperated and no rain showers . That was a first after all the trips up there.
Now back to the grind!!

spent yesterday and today fishing the area...pretty slow.
got into a bunch of coho off Beale yesterday and managed to even find several hatchery. Biggest fish of the weekend was this morning at Cree...buddy had it to the boat, then clamped down on the reel when the fish finally woke up and snapped off the flasher and the weekend's hottest lure (Rosco).
All in all, had a good weekend with the new boat. Not many fish but we'll get them next time.

Sunday.
Nice flat day on the water. We found lots of coho and small springs @7 mile and surfline.
Tried wall on way in but an FN gill net hampered our efforts. Found a teen or 2 near Chup point.
Gill netters lined up and parked every 100 yards the whole streach of Canal on way home. Guess they have opened by time of writing this. No wonder the sockeye limit will be 4 as of today. LOL! There won't be any left.
